The EAMSC usually runs over 5 days, and includes many activities for participating delegates. These include:
Group discussions Delegates participate in group forums where they discuss pre-conference triggers and other issues related to the theme. This enables delegates to assimilate ideas and knowledge from every nation, and also fosters mutual understanding between them. Paper presentation EAMSC aims to be an academically challenging as well as community-based conference, in which each country must submit its research paper into a scientific paper competition. Shortlisted research papers are then given the opportunity to be presented during this conference to encourage sharing of information but also academic excellence. Poster presentation As part of EAMSC’s efforts to promote public health awareness, each country designs two informative posters to be presented during the conference. These are presented in the public arena, and are focussed on health promotion and policy. Site visits Delegates will be brought to various clinical sites to visit – these sites usually have special significance to the theme of the conference. This allows delegates the opportunity of witnessing real-life examples of the challenges of healthcare in the host country.
Cultural workshops Delegates get an opportunity participate in the local culture and environment by immersing themselves in various cultural activities such as food sampling, crafts and visiting local markets. Cultural night Held annually, this is a night for all the delegates to showcase their unique culture and talent to their friends from other countries. It is a night of cultural exchange and new experiences. Sightseeing Delegates have opportunities to sightsee at famous landmarks!
